Background: in1995-96, Pat Carmichael, Research Chairman for the Society compiled and published a set of five volumes that details every known cemetery and individual graves in the county.  The 2020 revised set of cemetery books is now available to replace the original set.  Four volumes contain the county cemeteries according to geographical area as shown on the color-coded map below.  The fifth volume is devoted to the large cemetery in the City of Ava. 

Cost: each of the county volumes cost $20 + $3 shipping each.  The Ava Cemetery volume cost $25 + $3 shipping.  The entire five-volume set can be purchased for $100 + $15 shipping.  Orders should be sent to the Douglas County Historical and Genealogical Society, P.O. Box 986, Ava, MO 65608.
